SPRING & SUMMER SPORTS - 2012

For the Spring/ Summer Seasons :

Registrations are open.  Use your current grade that your child is in for the 2011-12 school year, when registering. Use this page information as a baseline - for details or updated information GO TO THE SPORT WEBPAGE ! Click on the appropriate sport icon to get to that sport.

Traveling Baseball

Online opens: 1/10/12
Online closes: 2/15/12 for 10-14 Year olds  (*must be 10 by April 1)
Online closes: 3/19/12 for 15 year olds

LIve Registration Dates : Feb. 9th ,  6:30-8pm at TOMS 
Uniform Fitting: - JAn. 29 - 5-9pm. TOMS Commons

Mandatory Parent Meeting: Jan.29th, 7pm  @ TOMS Auditorium ALL AGES

TRYOUTS: Dates TBD at Saints Sports Acadamy in Lakeville
$25.00 fee for tryouts. Included as part of the registration fee,

Season Schedule
Based on our expectations for the number of teams in each grade-level league, we anticipate the following weekly schedule:  Practice/Games are played in early evening hours. General times would be 6pm-dusk.

1st Grade:        Tue/Thu Nights
2nd Grade:       Mon/Wed Nights
3rd Grade:        Tue/Thu Nights  (a few Mon/Wed Nights)

6th/7th Grade:  Mon/Thu/Fri Nights

*We also may have Saturday games planned for 2nd thru 5th Grades in May TBD

In-House Plus Structure – 8th & 9th Grade (14/15) (See Traveling page)
Some travel will be required but will be limited.
No weekend tournaments. All league games during the week.
Season will run from April to early July.
No tryouts.

Lacrosse

ANY REGISTRATIONS RECEIVED AFTER THIS DATE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A $50 LATE PROCESSING FEE.

Note for those outside of ISD 719

If you are a resident of Shakopee and are looking to play BOYS lacrosse please visit their website to register at www.shakopeelacrosse.com

If you are a resident of Shakopee and are looking to play GIRLS lacrosse please check with the Shakopee association to make sure they are not offering lacrosse at your level and register with Prior Lake lacrosse online if they do not offer lacrosse for your level.

Other non-ISD 719 and you do not have lacrosse in your school district please feel free to register with Prior Lake lacrosse online.  If lacrosse is offered in your school district you must get a waiver from both Prior Lake lacrosse and the lacrosse association in your school district.  For further information please send an e-mail to Sue Wiederhoeft.

*Please note the 1/2 program is focused on the boys game (see Lacrosse home page)

Boys and Girls - All players are required to have a $25 annual US Lacrosse membership which is not included in the registration fee.

Boys Spring Only Players – A jersey maintenance fee is included in the summer registration, for any boys playing spring only a fee will be charged in addition to the registration fee.

Boys – Shorts are player owned, new players will need to purchase shorts separately. Shorts are $25 and will be purchased outside of the registration process and communication will come after registration is closed.

Girls – Uniforms are player owned, new players will need to purchase uniforms separately.  The uniform includes a top, kilt and compression shorts.  The cost of purchasing these new is $87.50.  Separately they are $50 (2 tops -home/away) and $22.50 (skirt), and $15 (shorts). There is also the opportunity to purchase uniforms from players no longer in the program. This will be handled outside of the registration process.

TO BECOME A COACH

Please complete the Coaching Application form, a mandatory Background check form, and a Concussion Awareness Certificate.

When leaving a practice your players should ALL be able to say they

  • Had Fun
  • Something Learned
  • Competed.

If you have acheived these three things in a day - you have Coached!

SPORT REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Note: The fees shown include a Capital Improvement Fee for each sport (this fee is used to enhance fields, gyms or other equipment, facilities for PLAY Sports) ranging from $10 - $25. There is also a $17 Administration Fee that assists in P.L.A.Y. personnel and related expenses.

Due to budget reductions at the city and school levels - P.L.A.Y. has instituted a required fee for some spring sports, (Lacrosse, Baseball, Softball & Football) this fee will be part of the overall registration fee.

The length of season is based on past history and should only be used as a guide for future seasons. (Each specific sports website will have more information.)

** Each Sport will have it’s own Deadlines for registration, Register on time! There is a NO REFUND POLICY. Once registration ends no refunds will be allowed. **
Late Fees: Any registrations taken after the On-line registration deadline will be accessed an additional $25 fee. Late Registrations will only be taken if there is room in the program for additional players. This fee will be used throughout the program as needed for any additional funding.

Those that tryout for a travel team and are not placed on a Travel Team will be placed into the In-House Program automatically, with a refund in cost difference only. This will happen soon after all the Travel teams are confirmed.

How do I Register?

You must login or create a NEW ACCOUNT, prior to registering.

To Register for your sport:

  1. Select 'Sports' or from the left navigation field. Find the Sport of your choice.  Please review information on this page as it includes important dates for the registration and season.
  2. Click on the registration bar for your sport of interest. You will need to enter the appropriate information and then be prepared to pay by CreditCard or Paypal.
  3. You will then get a confirmation of your registration once it is completed and paid.
  4. Registering On-Line is the best way to confirm your registration in a sport and to guarantee your email will be alerted to notices.

    P.L.A.Y. is not responsible for your information, if you need something changed in the future (Email address) You will have to go in and change that on your profile. So remember your login codes!
